Hi, I’m Jessie

I’m a registered dietitian, based in Michigan.

I’ve working in nutrition for almost 15 years. In clinical, outpatient functional nutrition and the food industry.

But one thing always stuck…the kitchen is where health really begins.

I’m a culinary nutritionist with training and experience in functional nutrition (IFNCP). I love to expand your diet through culinary education.

At Culinary Nutrition Project you’ll find a lot of seasonal, fiber and color rich recipes. Primarily fermented favorites and smoothies.

Health begins in the gut, let’s gut getting 🙂

Where it all began…

I loved sports! I realized at an early age (like in junior high!) the effects nutrition had on how I felt, and how I played.

I thought I wanted to be the sports dietitian for the Detroit Lions… But God had different plans.

My husband and I have three kids, and having a good understanding of the role gut health plays in their overall health I was on a mission. I know buying probiotic supplements is not only unsustainable, it also may not be best.

So, with my love of gardening and desire to learn new ways to eat probiotic rich foods. I am on a mission to create recipes and resources to share with you to improve your gut health while preserving your garden harvest.
